The best value in golf gloves

The best value in golf gloves today are without a doubt the Kirkland (Costco’s house brand) Premium Leather Golf Gloves.  They don’t stock these on their website; only in the stores.  For $12.99, you get 3 premium cabretta leather gloves with lycra inserts on the knuckles.  These gloves are definitely a step above WeatherSof’s.  The closest equivalent is probably the SofJoy glove.  But for an equivalent SofJoy glove, you’d pay 3x the price per glove.

I’ve been playing with these gloves for about a month and I just can’t get over how good they are – especially when you consider what they cost.  They last quite a long time.  And at just over $4 a glove, you don’t feel bad breaking out a new glove every couple of rounds (or even every round).

Now there are a couple of things to keep in mind.  First, you can only get them at Costco which means you need to have a membership (and a store nearby).  The membership will run you $50 if you don’t have one already.  It’s worth the expense though.  Costco always has great deals on all sorts of stuff, ie $20 Adidas Climacool shirts, $30 haggar golf slacks, ketchup by the gallon, etc.

Second, the sizing chart on the back of the package is worthless.  I typically wear an ML or Cadet ML glove.  Here is a pic of my hand on the sizing chart:

As you can see, the sizing chart says I should be a small or maybe a medium.  In reality, the Medium-Large glove fits me just fine.  Costco has a great return policy.  Basically you can take anything back.  So if you’re unsure of the sizing, go in, by a pack, and check the fit out in your car (be sure to bring scissors to open the package).  If it’s great, then go back and buy some more.  If not, just take it back into the service desk and they’ll give you your money back.

The only other knock on these gloves is the fact that they don’t offer a cadet sizing option.  Personally, it’s not a big deal to me but I know that some of you may really need it.  The only advice I can give you would be to go and try them.  At $12.99, it’s worth a shot to see if you can find one that fits.  And if not, then you can always return it.

Great gloves, but they never seem to have right hand available. Do they make a right hand glove?

Good question. I’ve never actually seen right hand gloves (for lefties). I’ll see if I can get an answer from somebody at Costco.

Unfortunately as far as I know, these gloves are not available online. You have to go in-person to a Costco store.
