I’m not necessarily a big fan of his music, but I’ve always thought that Justin Timberlake was a talented guy. Last year, he opened his new golf course, Mirmichi in Memphis, TN. ESPN E:60 has posted a great video with some info and background on the course.
Timberlake bought the original course for less than $1m, and put another $16m into renovations, changing the name in the process. It’s the only course in the world to hold an Audubon Classic Sanctuary Certification. And the quality of the golf course itself is supposed to be top-notch as well.
Next time I’m heading through Tennessee, I’m going to see if I can swing by to get in a round. If everything I’ve heard is true, it should be well worth the drive.

You’re not a big fan of JT, you’re a HUGE fan. Bringing sexy back
It’s actually a little known fact that JT (that’s what close friends like myself call him), was talking about me when he wrote “Sexy Back”. We were hanging out one weekend in Vegas (that weekend was the inspiration for “The Hangover” btw), and JT is like “Dude. I wish I had your game. I’m going to write a song so that everybody knows you’re bringing sexy back for all the ladies.” And I’m like “Cool JT. You know what, why don’t you just change the lyrics around so it sounds like you’re singing about yourself. It’ll sound better and help you out with the ladies.” And JT was like “Thanks D-Rock, you’re awesome.” And I was like “It’s cool. I know.”
