Tiger Woods Nike Free prototype shoe

Tiger Woods will be sporting a new prototype golf shoe from Nike this week at the Bridgestone.  The new shoe doesn’t have a name yet, but it’s essentially a Nike Free inspired golf shoe design.

Nike Free is a natural motion’ technology that is designed to mimic and conform to the natural motion of the foot, coupled with the protection and traction of a lightweight performance shoe”.  Tiger apparently likes working out in Nike Free shoes and asked the team in Beaverton to build him a set of golf shoes based on the same technology.

No word on when/if these shoes will make it to retail locations.

These are really sporty and it’s going to be odd seeing Tiger wearing these. Have to agree with him in that the Nike Free’s are very comfortable, although, these things look more bulkly.

Should be an interesting to see how Tiger holds up!

This is definitely a different look than we’ve seen Tiger sporting on the golf course in the past. I believe the oustole is actually from Nike’s combat boot/shoe which probably contributes to the bulky look.

It is interesting however to see Nike bringing their Free concept to golf. Dare I say that they’re following the lead of True Linkswear?

Tiger definately looses the sharpness of his traditional style of his past… looks like an old guy in Rockports
